Company Overview

1984

Jim Thompson, a Georgia Tech graduate and former 3M Sales Representative, founded Thomco in 1984. Over the years, we have seen tremendous growth, built on a foundation of responsive service, technical expertise, operating with integrity, and always treating our customers fairly.

Over The Years

We began as a 3M industrial tape distributor, but Jim realized an opportunity to expand our business into more than that. He bought a small machine that cut rolls of tape into strips, and our converting business was born. Over time we added additional capabilities such as rotary die presses, flexographic and digital print presses, laser and CAD cutters, and more.

Today

Today, we have two facilities and over 50 employees. Our corporate office and manufacturing facility is located in Suwanee, Georgia. Our second branch and distribution facility is located in Fort Mill, South Carolina, and supports Charlotte NC, and the rest of the Carolinas.

Our Philosophy

"Our success can be traced to our values which are to provide great products at good prices, superior technical support, the best service in our industry, and honest, fair dealings with our customers, suppliers, and employees."
